The 2024/2025 season is now in full swing. As Akerboom GSN looks back on the first part of the service season, we can conclude that it has been a busy period. We have been servicing or upgrading our clients' equipment to prepare them for the next sailing season. So far, we have visited more than 10 countries and carried out 93 projects at various locations, ranging from minor adjustments to major overhauls and equipment upgrades, such as extending gangways and upgrading hydraulic systems and controls to the latest standards.
At Akerboom, innovation drives everything we do. This commitment extends beyond our cutting-edge equipment and solutions—it’s embedded in how we approach service, testing, and problem-solving. By combining advanced techniques with our team's expertise, we continuously push boundaries to deliver excellence.
Sam is a vital part of our assembly team, bringing expertise to equipment installations at local shipyards and managing maintenance, repairs, and refits globally.
In 1993, Akerboom delivered the yacht equipment on a Feadship of remarkable technical sophistication— “Double Haven”, Building Number 647, designed to explore the coastlines of Australia and the Indonesian Archipelago. Acting as a mother ship, its purpose was to enable coastal exploration, with an 8-meter-long catamaran tender, aptly named "Double Happiness," facilitating beachside activities such as barbecues and camping.
Since 1983, Akerboom Yacht Equipment has been at the forefront of crafting custom yacht equipment, renowned for its superior quality and enduring reliability. Our commitment to continuous improvement and innovation has led to a novel approach in the design, production, servicing, and enhancement of bespoke yacht equipment.
We are pleased to share the story of one of our recent service projects to a prestigious 1989 Feadship in Barcelona, Spain. This project is a great example to highlight our long term commitment to supporting our existing fleet of clients.
